Before you apply you should also check the eligibility criteria. PhD students meeting the eligibility criteria will be selected on the basis of their scientific ability and the compatibility of the proposed plan with the research focus and activities at
CREAM.

Eligibility criteria
CREAM is only open for students already enrolled in a university in a EU country - other than Denmark - to pursue PhD studies.
The doctoral training is open to students in marine biology, ecological
modelling, statistics, biological physical and chemical oceanography.
Nationality
Students must be nationals of an EU Member State or Associated State
(see box 4) or have resided in an EU Member State for at least five years immediately prior to their appointment in a network.
Age
Students must be aged 35 or less at the time of their appointment to the network.
Exceptions can be made for compulsory military or civil service and for
childcare.
International Mobility
The student’s home institution must be located in one of the EU Member States.
Students are not eligible for a fellowship under CREAM if they have pursued doctoral studies anywhere in
Denmark for more than 12 months in the two years immediately prior to their
appointment.
