Technical staff

The technical staff is highly trained and experienced in performing tests and experiments with various species of soil fauna. Both standard laboratory testing and state of the art field studies of soil fauna and decomposition are constant activities.

The laboratory has at its disposal image analysis equipment for automatic counting and measurements and high capacity microarthropod heat gradient extractors. Furthermore, there are extration equipment for enchytraeids, nematodes and sieving system for earthworms.

Greenhouse and climate chamber facilities are avaliable for plant testing and multispeceis mesocosm studies.

Laboratory standard procedures used for industry contracts and official bodies are presently being prepared for submission to obtain a QA system.
